Dojo Rewards

At Vermont School, we love to celebrate our pupils’ achievements and positive attitudes through Dojo points. These points recognise the many ways our children contribute to our school community, from showing kindness and respect to trying their best in learning.

Pupils earn Dojo points daily for positive behaviours linked to our school values, including:

• Excellent learning and effort
• Showing kindness and respect
• Demonstrating resilience and independence
• Working well as part of a team
• Contributing to the school community
   

Weekly Celebration Assembly

Every Friday, we hold a special celebration assembly where we come together as a school to celebrate success. During the assembly, we:

• Announce Top Dojo point earners from each class
• Celebrate pupils who have reached significant Dojo Milestones
• Share examples of fantastic learning and behaviour across the school

The Vermont School Shop

Pupils can save up their Dojo points and spend them in the Vermont School Shop. The shop is stocked with a variety of exciting items and treats, carefully chosen to motivate and reward positive behaviour.

Children can choose how to use their points, whether to save for something special or enjoy a smaller reward straight away. This encourages pupils to set goals, make choices, and take responsibility for how they use their rewards.

We believe that recognising and celebrating positive choices encourages all pupils to feel proud of their achievements and motivates them to keep aiming high.
