The Mini-write programme was developed at Vermont school in order to develop the stamina and resilience in our children's writing. This daily writing opportunity uses a high-quality stimulus and allows the children to write about whatever they want for a short period of time.
To begin the children were given just three minutes to write. Through the term, we were able to increase the time as the children developed greater stamina in their writing. Through this programme, we saw an overall improvement in the amount and quality of work produced in English lessons.
